“ Hanging out with my bestie on a beautiful Saturday this is her favorite restaurant. The location of this restaurant is awesome. Free parking is available and make sure you ask for a seat with a view of the creek. Our waitress was very attentive and ensured we were satisfied with our lunch selections. My Bestie ordered the grilled platter with fried shrimp, scallops and redfish with their grits and she loved it!! I ordered the fried seafood platter with flounder as my fish. Both platters were delicious and our plates were cleaned ”
“ Overall Rating: 4.3/5 The food was AMAZING. My family and I really enjoyed all the food we got. All the food was incredibly flavorful, and it was well worth the price. Service was okay. Ambiance was okay. It's nothing fancy, very lax and chill place, kinda messy, but that's expected when it's a seafood place where you have to get your hands dirty to eat the crab and stuff. Drinks were okay as well. Nothing over the top amazing, but it was good But overall, loved the food, and I would recommend :) ”
“ We came in a group of size and I tried the grilled shrimp meal. It came with a lot of shrimp and the service was friendly. The restaurant felt like your typical beach restaurant. Not the cleanest feeling and menus were a bit dirty, but I wasn't necessarily disappointed by it. I'd come back and try other dishes on the menu. ”
“ I don't know if you have to be a kid to order the kids Alfredo meal but it paired so good with our crab boil that I wouldn't be able to order one with out the other. Service was such a chill, helpful yet prompt vibe, obviously not his first rodeo but not burnt out by it either. “ Authentic Low Country food right on Shem's Creek. We came here for lunch twice while visiting cousins in Mt Pleasant -- once sitting outdoors and the other inside. Decor is bare bones, but the Shem Creek views are nice. Service was good and attentive on both occasions. Some of the food we enjoyed: SHE CRAB SOUP (5/5) -- Excellent! One of the best we've enjoyed anywhere. HUSH PUPPIES (4/5) -- A dozen golden fried hushpuppies, crispy with soft centers, served with honey butter. BBQ SHRIMP & GRITS (3/5) -- Shrimp and grits themselves were perfect. I expected a drizzle of BBQ sauce, but the shrimp and grits were swimming in it. GRILLED SHRIMP (4/5) -- 8 nicely grilled shrimp with Carolina red rice and greens. SOFT SHELL CRAB SANDWICH (4/5) Loved the sweet tea! ”
“ Shem creek was the first of many restaurants we attended during a girls weekend. It was pretty yummy but we didn't LOVE a few items. I decided to brave the raw oysters and it was actually pretty good and the other gals really liked them. The mussels were good but they were pretty salty but thankfully not at all gritty. I shared the fried platter with a friend and it was good. I much preferred the oysters fried over the raw ones, the shrimp and flounder were also tasty and it was very filling. One gal got the flounder sandwich which she liked but said that it wasn't the best. I agree... I have made flounder at home that I prefer. But overall, the food was good, service was good, and we had a nice view of the intercostal waters. Our server Ben was attentive and helpful in choosing some apps and beverages. ”
